Game Ball

Saturday was Chase's second baseball game and it was quite a special one. He was catching balls and making plays like he really is starting to understand how it works. He played so well that the coach awarded him with the game ball! I was (and still am) so proud of him! I didn't get a great picture of him with his game ball, but I posting the one I did get.

Brotherly Love

Much to my surprise this morning, Cole woke up not feeling very well. He has been fine the last few days and hasn't had any symptoms of being sick. So, I think this is just all related to teething, with him cutting so many teeth at one time. Regardless, Chase was very concerned about his baby brother. Chase watched me holding Cole on the couch and just kept asking for me to let him hold him. It was so cute, even with Cole looking so pitiful, that I had to take a quick picture.

As you can see, we are all back to normal this afternoon. The boys spent the evening coloring together in the kitchen, like most evenings while mommy cleans up from dinner.

Ahh...Beer

And, so it begins, another beer admirer is born! I guess it is only natural for boys to be amazed by beer. I guess my only question is why they aren't amazed by a can of Coke? Every little boy just loves beer, first Chase, and now Cole.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Tuesday was Jason's 28th birthday...ha, I am no longer older than him! The boys and I decided to have a quiet family birthday party at the house for him when he got home from work. I made dinner and the boys made homemade cards that they taped to the door for him to see as he walked in.
And, my mom brought over a red velvet cake for him. The boys thought it was so cool that it was daddy's birthday (and that they got to eat cake)!

Time with Baby "Ewwa"

Erin and Ella (or "Ewwa" if Chase or Cole is talking) came to our house to play again today. The boys just love her and I love getting to spend time with Erin. Here are a few pictures from this afternoon.

Chase's 1st Game

Chase played in his first T-Ball game the other weekend and it was by far the cutest thing I have ever seen! There were kids going all over the place, running the bases out of order, hitting a ball and then fielding it themselves, etc. There was even a point where Chase was playing 1st Base and made a great play...that is, until he threw the ball at the base to get the kid out. After talking with his coach, he now he knows that he is supposed to take the ball with him and step on the base or throw the ball to someone instead. In the end, all of us parents were completely entertained!

At First Sight Photography

I am so excited to have a preview of the pictures from our family photo shoot in Downtown Woodstock a few weeks ago. We used a friend of a friend of a friend who is just starting her photography business. All I have to say is looking at the pictures she has done for us as well as others, you would think she has been doing this for years! I would highly recommend her to anyone, especially if you have young children. She is so patient and great with the kids!If you want to see more of her work, check out her blog: http://www.atfirstsightphotography.blogspot.com/ or visit her website: http://www.atfirstsightphotography.com/ .

Here are the pics from our preview...

The time has finally come...

Chase has started baseball! I think this has been my dream since the day we were told he was a boy. As a child, I spent almost every weekend at the ballpark with my family. Whether it was me playing softball or my brother playing baseball, we were always there. And, let me tell you, those are some of my greatest childhood memories, and I am so looking forward to making new memories my own kids!

I only took a few pictures at this practice, but the first game is this Saturday, so there will be more to come! I can't wait to see him in his DiamondJaxx uniform!

We Belong in the Zoo

On Tuesday, we made a quick trip down to the zoo while Jason was still off work. It was so nice outside and there were very few people at the zoo, so the day was very pleasant. We buy an annual pass each year b/c the boys just love going to see all of the animals! I think the car magnet we got with this year's pass says it all..."We Belong in the Zoo!"

Family afternoon in the park

Today we ventured to this amazing park near our house...little did we know how wonderful it was! Apparently it is the largest playground in the state of GA. The picture below is of the playground for the kids over 5, but there is also one the same size for kids under 5.

Anyway, Jason took a few days off to make this long weekend even longer, so we have been trying to get out and do fun things as a family. Needless to say, the kids loved this so much that they didn't want to leave when it was time to go. I am sure we will be back more often after that visit!

So Lucky

I just thought I would make a point today to say how grateful I am for my two precious boys! Sometimes I think I just get so caught up in my busy life and forget to just stop and say thanks for these tiny blessings!
